ECG sensor

ECG sensor

Item nr. BT36i Category
The ECG sensor BT36i measures electrical potentials, in the range between 0 to 5 mV, produced by the heart: Electrocardiogram or ECG. These small voltages are measured at the skin of the wrists and elbow through electrodes.

Available on backorder (Shipping in 2–3 weeks)

Description

This sensor can also be used to measure the electrical potentials generated by muscle cells when these cells contract and relax (Electromyogram).
The ECG sensor is delivered together with a package of 100 electrode patches.

Technical specifications:

  • Measurement range: 0 .. 5 mV
  • Included: 100 Electrode patches
  • Required: One sensor cable (BTsc_1 or BTsc_1Short)
  • Warrantee: 3 years (1 year for the electrode patches)

All technical specifications of the sensor are described in the product manual, see downloads.

The ECG sensor can be used in a variety of biology experiments, such as:

  • Monitoring ECG in rest and after mild exercise, or with mild stimulants
  • Measurements of the heart rate before and after exercises
  • Associate amount of electrical activity with strength of muscle contraction
  • Recording the electrical activity of a muscle (EMG)
  • Studying the P, Q, R, S, T waveforms
  • Studying the effect of different body positions on the ECG
