Description
The UV-A sensor is built around a UV sensitive Schottky photodiode. The diode produces a current proportional to the UV intensity. The signal from the diode is amplified through a transimpedance amplifier and sent to the output.
Examples of experiments:
- Measure the UV intensity as a function of time throughout the day
- Measure the UV transmittance of various sunglasses and regular glasses
- Measure the UV transmittance of fabrics, both wet and dry.
The UVA sensor can be directly connected to analog BT inputs of the CMA interfaces.
Technical specifications of the UV-A sensor are described in the product manual, see downloads.
